Robert Batt has created innovation in the psychotherapeutic treatment of individuals. He, along with co-founder Charisse Cooke, conceived the idea of providing a unique customised care programme in 2005. Since then his ideas have influenced treatment worldwide.

Charisse Cooke had set up and managed two medical units before establishing and founding The Recovery Centre. A practising psychologist, Charisse regularly appears on television to comment on issues on health care particularly addiction, depression and adolescent behaviour. Along with co-founder Robert Batt, she is writing a book that was commissioned to outline the groundbreaking methodology of the clinical work at The Recovery Centre and the future of treating mental health in the 21st century.

Dr Alessia Ciani, M. D. M.R.C.Psych
Medical Director

Dr Ciani is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where she is a member of the Eating Disorder Special Interest Group. She is member of the Independent Doctors Forum and a Senior Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College, in London.
Dr. Ciani is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
